WHAT MAKES MISSION IMPOSSIBLE SUCH A GREAT BBS?
-----------------------------------------------
Mission Impossible is on 0602-654329 and 0602-654680. Both
nodes run a Courier HST for speeds up to 9600 baud.
-------------------------------------------------------------
So what DOES make Mission Impossible such a great board?
Well, for one thing, it's the sheer size of the board.
Where many boards have 1000 or so files to download, Mission
Impossible has around 7150 - with 500 new ones being added
every *month*. Imagine: 15 to 20 new files every DAY!
Where many boards have 300 or so users, Mission Impossible
has well over 1550 at the time of writing - and around 70 new
users join every month.
Where many boards have a few new messages each time you call,
Mission Impossible has 7000 new messages every *4 weeks*.
Where many boards have just one line, Mission Impossible has
two - and both feature Courier HST modems for 9600 baud
access. Soon a third node will be added complete with a
Courier DS modem.
And oh yes: where many boards demand a subscription before
granting you full access, Mission Impossible is entirely
FREE. There are no fees or subscriptions of any kind to pay.
I think you should check out Mission Impossible soon.
If you're looking for a particular file, chances are the
board will have it. If not, new files are downloaded from
the USA every week and if you ask nicely the Sysop will be
happy to get you almost any file you need.
If you're looking for help or advice, many of those 1550
users are professionals in the computer world and they'll all
be pleased to help. Mission Impossible even has its own
resident, professional systems engineer: a service that would
cost you £££s if you paid for consultancy.
If you're looking for fun, Mission Impossible has that in
plenty too - check out the Oddballs message conference and
see.
If you're an old-hand at comms or if you're just getting
started, Mission Impossible is the board for you. The
software used is Wildcat: renowned for its simplicity of use
as well as its power and flexibility. And everyone is warmly
welcomed, whether they call dozens of boards each week or
whether Mission Impossible is the very first board they have
ever called!
If you want to find out why Mission Impossible has been
Britain's fastest growing Wildcat board in the past 12
months, call today: the numbers are 0602-654329 and
0602-654680, speeds 1200/2400/9600. Remember, full access is
free after completing a simple new-user questionnaire.
